A few words about The Toolemera Press and Gary Roberts, publisher.
The Toolemera Press has, since 2006, returned classic books on early tools, trades and industries to print. Books from my personal collection are selected for relevance to modern day crafts and trades. Each book is reproduced, page by page, using high quality scanners and post scan image correction software. The labor intensive process allows for attention to detail so as to produce a print ready pdf file that replicates the original as closely as possible. In those instances were early books are reproduced, grayscale imaging to preserve the "look and feel" of the original is selected. Often both black and white and grayscale books are printed in full CMYK color for greater detail.
I use both Createspace and Lightning Source Print On Demand services. Both are international leaders in modern POD printing. The two book styles used are Trade Paperback and Casebound. Trade Paperback is the trade term for a soft cover book with stiff covers. Casebound refers to a hard cover book. Both formats are Perfect Bound utilizing state of the art, long lasting adhesive to produce a flexible spine that stands up to regular use.
All Toolemera Press books are available through Amazon, Barnes & Nobles and most online book retailers, worldwide.
